Power departments are strengthening grid monitoring to ensure safe electricity supply for daily life; outdoor workers in sanitation, construction, and other fields are adjusting their schedules and receiving cooling supplies. At the same time, the 'summer relief economy' is heating up in many places. Sales of chilled drinks, watermelon, and other cooling foods are booming in major shopping areas, and water parks and summer resorts are attracting lots of people looking to enjoy some cool relief.     Meteorologists remind us that during Minor Heat, the weather can be unpredictable, not only with persistent high temperatures but also occasional strong thunderstorms and winds. Citizens are advised to stay hydrated and keep cool while paying close attention to weather warnings and taking precautions against localized heavy rainfall.

In July 1921, a single red boat on South Lake set sail amidst stormy winds and waves, igniting the sparks of revolution across the vast land of China. The July 1st Founding Day is not only a profound look back at history, but also a clarion call of the times to forge ahead on a new journey. As the baton of history is passed into the hands of the new generation, the spirit of the Red Boat will continue to be carried forward in the veins of future generations. In the face of future opportunities and challenges, only by remembering where we started can we pave a better path forward. Let us use struggle as our pen and time as our answer, riding the waves and charging forward toward the Chinese Dream of the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation!

As the Lunar Fifth of May arrives, this year’s Dragon Boat Festival falls on June 19th. In the height of midsummer, when the sun is at its peak, the streets and alleys are already filled with the faint aroma of zongzi and the refreshing scent of mugwort leaves.   The Dragon Boat Festival is a cultural memory deeply embedded in the DNA of the Chinese nation. It carries Qu Yuan’s romantic patriotism—"For the ideal that I hold dear to my heart, I'd not regret dying a thousand times"—and echoes the noble spirits of historical sages like Wu Zixu and Cao E. On this day, traditional rituals are reawakened: emerald-green mugwort and calamus are hung on doorways to ward off evil and pray for health, while dragon boats race across the rivers to the thunderous beat of drums, showcasing the vitality and joy of breaking through the waves.   "A light sweat gently seeps through the green silk; tomorrow is the Dragon Boat Festival, time to bathe in fragrant orchids."   In the lingering warmth of summer, whether you bite into a soft, sweet red bean paste zongzi or a savory, juicy pork zongzi, what is wrapped inside the bamboo leaves is always an inseparable bond of national pride and comforting earthly life.   ACLMEC wishes you a safe and healthy Dragon Boat Festival.
