An important festival in Christianity commemorating the birth of Jesus. It is also called Christmas, the Feast of the Nativity, and in the Catholic Church, the Vigil of the Nativity of Jesus. The Bible does not record the date of Jesus' birth. In 336 AD, the Roman Church began celebrating this festival on December 25. December 25 was originally the date set by the Roman Empire to celebrate the birth of the Sun God. Common nourishing foods include lamb, beef, chicken, and various tonic herbs.     Ancestral Worship and Welcoming Winter: In ancient times, the Beginning of Winter was an important ceremonial festival. On this day, people would hold ancestral worship ceremonies to express their respect and remembrance for their ancestors. At the same time, they would pray through the rituals for favorable weather and a bountiful harvest in the coming year. Adding Clothes for Warmth: As the temperature gradually drops, people begin to add clothing to keep warm.
